The Wise Family Story

  Mike and Marissa Wise are the founders of Wise Roofing. Wise Roofing is based in Pottsboro, Texas which is also where they call home and are raising their five children; Austen, Lauryn, Garrett, Bentley, and Kade. Marissa grew up in Pottsboro and over the years has built strong relationships with many within the community. It was important to them both that they raise their children close to their grandparents while also being in a town that prides itself on being a strong community.  

  After working in the automobile industry for over twenty years, they decided that it was time to leave the industry in order for Mike to spend more quality time with his family. Mike partnered with his father-in-law, Roger Vicars, and joined his thirty years of general contracting experience in hopes of finding a new passion that would also allow him the time with his family that he had always wished for. Shadowing his father-in-law brought great skill and knowledge to Mike. Shortly after, Mike and Marissa founded Wise Roofing. 

  Wise Roofing is a business that was formed on a foundation of Christian values; commitment, honesty, compassion, and most importantly, providing for ones family. Day in and day out, Mike works to satisfy his customers to the fullest extent by treating their homes if they were his own. Mike and his team, Josh Dodson and Justin Vissering, personally inspect the homes free of cost. Mike’s team and their families bestow the same Christian values as the Wise Family which has led to family-like relationships with each other. 

  Mike is always thinking one step ahead by reminding himself of a lesson taught by his father-in-law, “Do what you have to do now so you can do what you want to do in the future.” With this in mind, Mike and Marissa have now introduced their family business to their three oldest children. Often times, you will find one of their children on the job site alongside of their father. Their goal for guiding their children through the motions of a successful, family business is to teach them the value of honest work and the importance of providing for their family. 

  Mike and Marissa do not take the importance of customer satisfaction lightly. Wise Roofing takes great pride in being trusted to repair the roofs of their customers. They are extremely grateful for the support of their family, friends, and customers in their business venture. As Mike and Marissa would say, “We have your roofing needs covered,” no matter how big or small the job.
